The Arts in Youth and Community Development (AYCD)
program is designed for artists and community workers with a commitment to professionalizing the emerging field of youth arts. Offered jointly through the AEMM department and the Center for Community Arts Partnerships, this program balances advanced academic study with hands-on experience to develop careers in this growing and dynamic field. Graduates of the intensive, two-year program earn a Master of Arts Management (MAM) degree in Arts, Entertainment and Media Management with a focus in Arts in Youth and Community Development.

Students will be held to the AEMM major requirements in effect at the time of their enrollment or re-enrollment as listed in the Columbia College Chicago catalog. The AEMM Department reserves the right to substitute courses without changing the total number of credit hours required for the major.

Students are expected to be aware of the AEMM Department policies and are advised to read the Columbia College Chicago catalog and AEMM Department materials each semester before registering. In addition, students are urged to meet with their faculty advisor at least once each semester.
